On October 1, 2005 several members of Pacific Crossings Model RR Club ventured some 200 miles to Wallowa, Oregon to ride the Eagle Cap Excursion Train. The 60 mile route took them from Wallowa to Gulling down the Wallowa River, into the rugged canyon and then up the Grande Ronde River. The 7 1/2 hour trip provided outstanding scenery the entire distance.
